#UPPresents: Negus Project ‘Speak On It’ Recap Ft. Ashley Raymond & Kwadwo Adae

Kicking off 2017 with a gathering of the minds, CT’s creative collective, The Negus Project delivered a panel for deep music lovers. Creating an event dissecting Childish Gambino‘s latest work of art Awaken My Love, panelists including singer Denise Renee, label exec. Vic Stefens, Dr. Markeysha Davis and music blogger/photographer Ashley Raymond expressed what the album meant to them.

While the panel discussed the layers behind the album, they also opened the floor for wide discussion touching on necessary topics ranging from mother hood, reminiscing on the career/impact of Lauryn Hill, and misogyny within the music industry .
